 A very rare and collectible garment from the Miuccia Prada portfolio. This particular piece and runway look was likely an homage to Yves Saint Laurent’s 1968 ‘Saharienne’ collections which fused sheer fabrics with his newly signature safari style. Late 60’s YSL was an early inspiration for Miuccia Prada who, in her political activist youth, wore YSL along her jean-wearing cohorts. Prada has a deep and clear appreciation for vintage fashion, often referencing designs of the past. 
        
The top is constructed with two layers of organza (with the exception of the sleeves) but, though sheer, cleverly leaves something to be desired with the additional layer of organza that makes up the rounded inverted pleat chest pockets with flaps.

Condition notes-
Slit tear above sleeve cuff (see photos 9-11). Light-moderate residue in need of professional cleaning.
