This period of Saint Laurent is extremely collectible as it predates his ready-to-wear days, when he was strictly a couturier. Described as the “preeminent practioner” of couture, Yves Saint Laurent’s early career in fashion is highly notable and widely recognized.
     
All of the details you would expect of 1960’s couture garment are present 
- Fully lined in silk fabric 
- Cropped, bracelet / glove length sleeves
- Button snaps at neckline and near button set
- Pockets at the hips

Very good overall condition for a 60+ year old garment, but in need of professional mending. All flaws ARE hidden. This would make an excellent addition to a collection for display, or even wear given the buyers intention of care. 
      
EXTERIOR condition notes - Near perfect condition. Stitching beneath collar (hidden exterior neck seam) has a few undone stitches. 
     
INTERIOR condition notes - Flawed. Sleeve lining on both sides is present but torn at the armscye. Unfortunately this is expected of silk lined coats, but could and should be professionally redone before wear.  Photos upon request.
